Do I own commercial rights for my Karafuru?&nbsp;

The Karafuru project's goal is to give Furus the full commercial rights to the Karafuru NFT they hold. Although for this moment, we do not allow the use and placement of Karafuru logo in the output. More information to be announced as soon as we finalize the terms and conditions with Karafuru's legal team regarding the use of Karafuru's IP.

Share us a little update on what's happening next!&nbsp;

We love your enthusiasm and support! We will be announcing updates when we have perfectly finalized everything, but here's a slight hint. Karafuru Carnival of Act 2.0 will happen around the end of March. This spectacular journey of Karafuru physical activation will start in Indonesia, Japan, the U.S , and many more. Towering Karafuru toys all over Jakarta, Karafuru haunted house, Karafuru merchandise, and all the good stuff we are preparing. Most importantly, all Furus are invited to the fun.&nbsp;

How to redeem your voucher?

During the Carnival, you can redeem the voucher in the Information Booth. You will be prompted to share your voucher code and email address used to claim the voucher in exchange for a hard copy voucher tickets &amp; VIP pass to be used during the Carnival.

The carnival voucher claimed is only valid for the upcoming Carnival in Indonesia. Any upcoming carnival will have their own vouchers to be claimed for Furu Holders.

CARNIVAL – Everything You Need to Know!

Since the announcement of our collaboration with Hypebeast and Atmos, some of you may be wondering, why have we chosen to collaborate with them for our 3D collection? Why not do it on our own?

We always believe that Karafuru has the potential to be more than what we are today. We have big ambitions to take the Karafuru brand beyond the realms of the metaverse and digital identity, into a lifestyle brand that is recognizable in your daily life. With this goal in mind, we have strategically chosen to collaborate with both Hypebeast &amp; Atmos.

It’s no secret that Hypebeast has always been the go-to platform when it comes to the latest global trends. Our collaboration aims to utilize Hypebeast’s platforms such as Hypemedia the online editorial and social media platforms, HBX - e-commerce platform, and their offline stores to elevate Karafuru to a global brand and create energy around the brand as we ramp up our efforts.

Karafuru is deeply rooted in Japanese culture and visuals and we wanted to pay tribute and stay authentic to that in our upcoming collaboration. Atmos, one of the most renowned sneaker boutiques out of Japan with numerous successful collaborations with the likes of Nike, Adidas, New Balance, just to name a few, was an obvious choice for us.

First AMA with the Founders

It was a memorable moment as the artist, WD.Willy expressed his feelings about the first ever <a href="https://twitter.com/i/status/1486576539634331649">official Karafuru trailer</a>

“I was thrilled to see how my work was being presented in the first trailer, and the audience feedback was just as I hoped. I want the audience to be able to go back to that feeling when they were little, anticipating and waiting for their favorite cartoon to show on TV! This feeling of joy, cheerfulness, and playfulness are the concept of why I created Karafuru.&nbsp;

With the character’s design taking heavy inspiration from Japanese culture, I wanted to create an immersive universe that brings the exact look &amp; feel to life&nbsp;

With the addition of colors, music, and animation, we’ve been able to bring to life an outstanding Karafuru experience.”

WD.Willy is an Indonesian illustrator that is well-known for his cheerful and colorful art style and unique characters. His career started in 2015 creating illustrations for books, board games, and merchandise in collaboration with various local companies and brands such as Teh Botol Sosro, Janji Jiwa, The Executive, Damn, I Love Indonesia, ASUS, Gramedia and Kompas.&nbsp;

Karafuru NFT was not the first project WD.Willy has collaborated with. Besides creating illustrations for the brands and companies mentioned above, WD.Willy also works on designing Urban Toys produced by the Museum of Toys (MoT). At one of the MoT events, the co-founder of MoT, Ando, and WD.Willy exchanged casual remarks regarding NFTs as Ando expressed the company’s wish to build an NFT Project. WD.Willy agreed and decided to create various character bases that would soon be the full team of Karafuru NFT along with Jejouw, Gradyedbert, Rofe and Artnalyst, as we know it today.&nbsp;

WD.Willy's inspirations came from reading and watching Japanese Manga and Animation since he was a child. Each story begins with the main character, a bunch of friends, and a place. WD.Willy implemented those characteristics into Karafuru. Each character has its own distinct features and appearances. These appearances can range from humans to animals or even robots with their own stories to tell. Add in a place where the characters can roam free and be playful which WD.Willy and MoT decided on naming The Playground. These important aspects make the characters feel alive.&nbsp;

The name Karafuru originates from a Japanese word meaning colorful. The term colorful best describes his art and the whole gang.&nbsp;

The Inspiration

The baby of the bunch, Mosu, is here to have fun. Mosu spends most of his time with his brothers Kiba and Egao. They’re his best friends in the whole world. When he’s not with them, he’s with Uzachi, his schoolmate. They are always fighting but Mosu finds her little jabs endearing. Whenever she chides him, Mosu just stands there smiling, which annoys Uzachi to no end.&nbsp;

But that doesn’t bother him. Nothing really bothers Mosu. He’s the real definition of happy go lucky and my, what luck he has. His name always perching among the top rankings in Kara-pon is proof of his neverending good luck. It is even more impressive considering Mosu gives the bare minimum when it comes to Kara-pon. Fortune smiles upon Mosu and Mosu definitely smiles back.

Kiba is a natural born prankster. Naturally, his brothers Mosu and Egao are his favorite targets. They have been the victims of his various pranks for as long as they can remember. His pranks got more creative and elaborate since he met Otan. Kiba’s wit and Otan’s brute strength are a match made in heaven. In him, he found the perfect partner in crime.

Kiba’s talent for a good prank comes in handy when the ultimate Kara-pon competition begins. Always looking for ways to play others, Kiba uses his many tricks up his sleeve to dupe, best, and steal from his enemies. With Otan by his side, he is truly unstoppable.

Otan spent his time in the fighting ring at The Playground. He never wanted to hurt anyone, but he loved the adrenaline of being in a fight. That was Otan’s life before he met Kiba.&nbsp;

Before Kiba, Otan never had many friends. Most kids were afraid of him. Not Kiba. Soon, they became inseparable. Over time, Kiba learned that beneath that brutish appearance is a soft heart and a loyal friend. Otan stands by his friends and is always ready to defend them. If you’re looking for a friend that you can always count on, Otan is the kid.

As the oldest of three brothers, Egao is used to having people look up to him. His confidence, natural leadership, and kindness draw others to him. Everybody loves Egao.&nbsp;

On the basketball field, he is a beast. But basketball is not the only thing he loves. Egao loves music, movies, gadgets, and Kara-pon. A part of the appeal of Egao is his knowledge and interests. You can talk to him about anything. But above all, Egao is kind and fair. Even when the Kara-pon tournament reaches its brewing point, Egao always champions fair play. Naturally, this means that he always has to keep Kiba and Otan in check.

For as long as he remembers, life has been hard for Kuyaku. He has always had to fight for everything he has. Making friends is hard for him due to his nervousness and jitters. Futo seemed to be the only one who didn’t mind his strangeness.

When the Kara-pon craze hit the city, Kuyaku found a new life. The little shiny balls don’t do much for a poor kid who has nothing, but he can sell them for some additional coins. Kuyaku poured everything he had into his new endeavor and started collecting rare items to sell. Soon, he began to make loads of money. Everyone knows Kuyaku, the best Kara-pon hustler in Karafuru.

Futo is a simple kid. He likes to eat. That’s about it. Being friends with Kuyaku all these years hasn’t seemed to change that. He mostly listens quietly, while munching on his snacks, as Kuyaku rambles on excitedly.&nbsp;

Futo doesn’t like to speak. He only says something when he absolutely has to. He mostly responds to your query with a word or a grunt. When Futo opens his mouth, it usually means that he has something important to say. For someone who doesn’t say much, he surprisingly has a lot of knowledge and wisdom to share.

Being annoyed is Uzachi’s specialty. Everything annoys her and she makes sure that everyone knows. It irritates her when things don’t go her way. That’s why Uzachi never showed interest in Kara-pon, where too much is left to chance.&nbsp;

Beneath her short temper however, Uzachi cares a lot. She always takes care of her friends when they get into trouble, even while scolding them the whole time. Out of everyone, Mosu is the one person she cares for the most. Naturally, he’s the one person she scolds the most.

Torao has everything – good looks, swag, money, influence, everything. Coming from one of the wealthiest families in town, Torao has had everything handed to him his whole life. He has never had to work hard for anything. This makes him a bit of a brat, but deep down he is a nice kid.

Since he became friends with Egao, he has learned to be more responsible. Torao respects Egao and listens to him. Having Egao by his side has helped Torao grow tremendously. Torao has learned to share, work with others, and not rely so much on his wealth. It’s not always easy, but Torao is trying.

Shi’rai comes from a different world, literally, with his sister Ku’roi. No one knows where he is from exactly, but they know he’s not from Karafuru. It’s no wonder why everything here fascinates him. He often talks to inanimate objects such as rocks, trees, or grass just to see if they will talk back.&nbsp;

He doesn’t seem to be interested in anything or even anyone other than Ku’roi. She’s his best friend and will do anything for her. After all, he came all the way to Karafuru just because Ku’roi wanted to take part in that insipid Kara-pon tournament, didn’t he?

There is nothing Ku’roi loves more in this world than an amazing outfit. Well, maybe Shi’rai. But the list ends there. So when she caught wind of the little balls of extraordinary outfits, skins, and gadgets, she had to have them.

She had been collecting them for some time when she heard of the ultimate Kara-pon tournament. Ku’roi immediately packed her bags and dragged Shi’rai to Karafuru. The intense competition of the tournament brings out her ambitious nature. She will crush anyone that gets in the way. She has to have that ultimate prize. The fact that winning the tournament will impress Egao is just the icing on the cake.

Nobody seems to know where Goji comes from. He has just been around. He mostly keeps to himself, never showing much interest to talk to or play with anyone else. He is too caught up in his own little world playing by himself in his little costumes--mostly lizard-like creatures. He has a different one everyday, each one crazier than the last.&nbsp;

When Shi’rai showed up, he immediately took interest in Goji. For the first time, Goji doesn’t mind. He likes Shi’rai and his sister. They don’t ask him questions. They mostly just let him be. Even before Kuro’i and Shi’rai showed up, Goji spent every second at The Playground. He still does, but now he has friends with him.

Ikai is a little wonder of nature. Well, maybe not nature. Someone definitely made Ikai, but who could it be? No one knows. Sure, he’s not the only robot in town, but no other robot speaks and acts like Ikai. They are mostly just servant drones programmed to complete certain tasks.

Not Ikai. He is his own man. He is good at everything he does, but good doesn’t cut it for Ikai. He learns fast and works hard. He has become a master of many things, but his greatest love is technology. He spends countless hours mastering computers and gadgets, running his own experiments and coming up with his own innovations.

The Characters

Welcome to the city of Karafuru. Everything here is made of color. Bright neon lights guide your way through the city. Fluorescent lights direct you to all of the important hubs: arcade, basketball field, cinema, and the playground.

Giant Videotrons can be seen broadcasting trailers for all kinds of cartoons, animations, and movies. Advertisements for newly designed toys and gadgets are displayed throughout the city. Buildings and houses in every hue of color decorate the streets and alleyways. Music is blasting from every direction anywhere you go.

Throughout Karafuru, you will see groups of kids crowding the streets. They can be seen playing with their latest gadgets, racing on their electric bicycles and skateboards, or flying on their hoverboards. Not a single adult can be seen in the streets of Karafuru. Alternatively, automatons of various sizes and types patrol the city as helpers and occupy every place of interest.

Playgrounds are a dime a dozen in the city. You can’t walk two blocks without running into one. The biggest of them all is located in the city center. Simply dubbed ‘The Playground’, this giant playground somehow manages to out color the already bursting-with-color city. It is an amalgamation of the bright colors of overgrown nature and the city’s signature neon lights.

The Playground is filled with state-of-the-art rides and games and sizable corners for playing and meetings. It is the heart and pride of Karafuru.

It is also the hub of the Kara-pon craze. Shiny balls of every color can be found inside the glass chamber atop the Kara-pon machines. Inside these little balls is every variation of skins you can imagine. A pair of hover sneakers, flame contact lenses, costumes, goggles, hoodies, watches.

Kara-pons are the biggest craze among the young denizens of the city. Kara-pon machines can be found on every street corner. Children line up at every single machine and are overwhelmed with joy whenever they get a particularly rare item. They don't these items on the streets and bring these little balls to The Playground to swab, trade, and sell.

At first, a single Kara-pon machine was installed at The Playground. Beautiful and shiny. Some of the kids were curious. Egao was the first one to give it a try. One day, he went to the machine and got a Kara-pon. Inside was the coolest hoodie he had ever seen. He got another one the next day and the next day and the next day. Soon, he was obsessed. When he introduced them to his brothers Mosu and Kiba, along with Kiba’s best friend Otan, they were hooked right away.

Over time, more Kara-pon machines were installed throughout the city. The objects inside became more unique and inventive. A jetpack, a mohawk made of actual flames. More kids got into it, but they were a niche bunch. This crowd filled their days trading Kara-pon and searching for rare items. All Kara-pon machines have a giant screen above them that announces the rarity of the item you get and a ranking of all the Kara-pon hunters based on the items they have collected. Mosu is pretty high on that list seeing how his luck seems to never run out. Once in a while, an announcement would show up on the screen. A tournament to find ultra-rare items. This was always an exciting event.

Nobody knew where they came from or who installed them. When someone won a tournament, the announcement came from the giant screen on the machine. Their prize dispensed directly.

One day, all of the screens on all the Kara-pon machines made a uniformed pinging sound and the same message appeared: “Three Kara-pons from a set have been deployed across all of the machines. Together they will make a key to a special machine with one legendary Kara-pon. The first one to get it will win a big prize. The ultimate Kara-pon tournament.”

Everyone went crazy. Even those who never cared for Kara-pons took notice. Torao, Egao’s best friend, wanted in. As a member of one of the wealthiest families in the city, he had all the coins he needed to catch up with the brothers’ collections. A method that has often been a point of contention between Torao and Egao. Uzachi, Mosu’s frenemy, never showed interest in any of this. But as the tournament goes on, Mosu spends all his time planning and searching for these Kara-pons. Although she may deny it, Uzachi secretly likes Mosu and wants to spend more time with him. So she begrudgingly agrees to join the tournament, chiding Mosu every step of the way.

The kids would meet at The Playground to map out all the locations of the Kara-pon machines, track the rankings, and gain intel if anyone had found any pieces of the key for the legendary Kara-pon. With all of his charm, it’s easy for Egao to start making friends in deep places. The first one is Kuyaku. Kuyaku is an anxious kid who doesn’t seem to stop talking. He spends all his time at The Playground hustling for Kara-pons. He knows everything about Kara-pon and knows everyone in the game. This little ball of excitement is always accompanied by his friend Futo. The polar opposite of Kuyaku in every way, Futo rarely makes a sound and stands there casually with his snacks while his friend chatters on. Once in a blue moon, Futo would open his mouth and share an important piece of information that nobody else seemed to know.

As far as they can figure out, only one person in the entire city has found one of the key pieces. A girl by the name of Ku’roi. Nobody seems to know who she is or where she comes from. She randomly showed up not long after the tournament began. When the gang tracks her down, they find her with her brother Shi’rai. Shi’rai is a strange boy who finds everything fascinating and is easily distracted by mundane objects like a rock or a flower.

Ku’roi keeps her distance and is very protective of her brother. She refuses to admit that she’s in possession of one of the keys, but she indulges Egao and seems to be genuinely interested in him. There is one more member in this group, Goji. Goji is a strange kid who doesn’t seem to be interested in anyone else. He is too busy playing with himself to acknowledge all of the Kara-pon craziness.

Upon further observation, Egao noticed something weird. Goji doesn’t seem to be interested in any of the conversations about Kara-pon and nobody ever sees him near any of the machines. But he is always disguising himself in one amazing costume or another. Egao can’t figure out where he can get them if it’s not from Kara-pon.

Since that first meeting, the two groups have crossed paths many times. Naturally, Kiba and Otan keep trying to steal the legendary Kara-pon from Kuro’i. Egao is always the one to apologize on their behalf, much to Kur’oi’s satisfaction.

With so many Kara-pon machines to find, Egao and Torao enlist the help of their robot friend, Ikai. The whiz kid. With his state-of-the-art computer system, Ikai helps them track all of the Kara-pon machines’ locations. He also keeps tabs of any news and updates from the tournament.
